Peace and Joy
It's been a long time since I posted, but life has been stressful and busy for me this year. The good side of this is that it is increased my prayer life exponentially, which has led to some good things happening in my life.
For Christmas Eve I had prepared a rather elaborate meal just for my immediate family. I had invited some others, but it just hadn't worked for them to come, so I went to church hoping to find someone who might want to come over and share our Julbord with us. My faith was pretty small that this would actually happen, but when I got to church and sat down I saw a good friend sitting two rows up. She is a professional caterer, and she expressed to me that she had been working all day and didn't know what she was going to be able to do for her own family. I invited her over, and she said yes. I was so surprised! She and her family came over and we had a lovely time.
Something like this hardly ever happens to me, but I felt that if this small prayer was answered I could have hope that my bigger prayers might be answered in the coming year.
I guess there is always hope.
