My car is signaling distress
in the form of a bell dinging everytime
I open the door.
I don't know why.
Maybe it is alarmed
that it was not blessed with speed.
But at least it is blessed
with wheels that are not square.
Spent Saturday in San Francisco.
It was freezing, which was good
because my feet did not slide around in their plastic shoes.
Need sound effects to describe my day.
So call me.
Disappointed because a cherry-picker sat outside my window at work
in disuse all day.
I wanted to see them drive it.
And maybe ask for a ride.
But all was appeased the next day
because a crane was lifting stuff
off the roof of the building next door.
Went to class.
It was like going home.
You know when you belong somewhere
when it seems that everything
has remained static holding its breath
just waiting for you to return.
Just everyone has grown taller.
And it was one of those combinations
that you never wanted to stop doing
no matter how exhausted you were.
And everything that I wanted to say
but couldn't over this past year
finally came out
in just 45 seconds.
and it was wonderful.
To me it is a waste of life not spending every second dancing
Unfortunately
It is a waste of life to spend every second dancing.
But my soul is doing well.
