Jamie’s gig last night seemed to go well. Despite the best efforts of the sound engineer who had them feeding back for the first two songs. But it came together, a good set in all and the label people came, listened to the end and left. So here’s hoping

Our Union elections have been on all week. Student politics is horrible - Hannah, one of the more promising presedential candidates discovered last night that her manifesto had been taken out of the catalogue in a number of pollng stations around campus, which I thought was a bit disgraceful to be honest. And the candidates running in teams seem to be under the impression that the only way to galvanize student action is to bribe them with maoam. I just took advantage of the maoam and didnt vote for them.

But the best bit of the whole election was when I was reading the manifestos. A couple of good candidates in there - but by far the best was the delegate who had submitted his manifesto scrawled upside down on the bottom half of a bar receipt which had then just been photocopied and so was reproduced literally as a bar receipt. With a manifesto on it. I did not vote for him.

Shame you can't come tomorrow ... Do you not think that it will be a pretty bizarre crowd? Shambles fans? Streets fans? And slim to none of the usual crowd about! Should be a goodun nonetheless
