Caleb understands a little bit. Well, not entirely; while Selene is an orphan, that implies that at one point she had parents. Caleb has never had any parents at all. "I... um... I realize this may not be the time for this question, but."
"Um. What is 'elven'?"

Harley turns her attention back to Selene, "who told you that kissing another person was something to be ashamed or embarrassed about?"

"I-I don't really know," Selene confesses. "I... I mean, there was no boys my age in Candlekeep s-so I don't really know. And um, th-they were rare tomes of classical literature from several centuries a-ago."

Well, on the bright side, at least Selene is no longer terrified of Caleb as much now. They still have a long way to go with Selene, however.
