[Life] In With the New

Jan 01, 2009 23:36

So the first day of the new year is very nearly over, at least in this time zone. And I don't think it's really sunk in for me yet. As with my birthdays these days, it feels like just another day, albeit one with a different number attached to it. I suppose there's nothing wrong with that. It might be worse to attach too much meaning to it, really. I spent the first moments of the new year pleasantly, though: relaxing at home and chatting with my girlfriend. So if that's a reflection of the upcoming year, I think I'll be okay with it.

I intend to make some resolutions, but I haven't gotten around to deciding on them yet. Well, that's not entirely true; I've made one. I'd like to get back to posting in this journal regularly. The front page of the journal contains nearly all of my posts for the whole of 2008. That needs to change. So I'll be working on that from now on, and I'll keep you all abreast of further resolution decisions.

Hm. Well, I'd intended for there to be more substance to this post, but I'm far too exhausted to write it. Tomorrow I'll try to finally post that write-up on my Christmas gifts, and maybe I'll have decided on some more resolutions by then. Later, readers!
