INTRO/SUMMARY: Aoi is in the studio working on the next GazettE album. He is under a considerable amount of stress, not only because he wants to do his really best, but also because his relationship with the other guitarist in the band seems to be subject to change. The other guitarist, Uruha is his colleague and competitor, or at least he was to be defined that way. Since Uruha is beautiful and a very skilled guitarist Aoi is worried that he himself will seem not-that-good in the eyes of fans and the other guys in the band. Aoi is popular among his kohais on the v-kei scene. His closest friends are Chiyu and Kazuki. Both are playful party boys, but Kazuki, being a guitarist like Aoi himself, seem to look up to and adore Aoi more than Aoi's other friends.
So here we go...
UNTITLED-I : A session with Uruha-san.
The GazettE had been in the studio for quite some time already. Aoi had been working as hard as he could force himself to. Recordings were always hard emotionally, since he always wanted to be at his very best, but at the same time was just human and got tired of things. As the recordings drew closer to their end it became more and more obvious. This day Aoi had been struggling with a song that the other guitarist had written. As much as he loved playing the guitar he was now really tired of it.
-Do you get how I did mean, this part when you like slide back to the riff? Uruha asked him.
-Uhm... I'm not sure...Aoi answered, then he shifted his seat uncomfortably. Really he thought he had gotten what the other one meant, he just couldn't do it, and right now, he had no idea why.
Uruha had came into the studio after half of the day to help out since Aoi wasn't sure how to play a certain part. After much discussion they found a solution that seemed to sound right, however Aoi just wasn't able to nail it down on recording. Normally Aoi didn't find it a problem that the other guitarist was considerably better at playing some things than he was, but right at the moment it was making him feel hopeless. "It must be because I'm tired, these sessions have been going on for quite some time now and I've been here like all day" he thought. He felt bad. It didn't make him feel better that Uruha had chosen to stay until this late either. Usually when he had made sure Aoi got what he meant he would leave Aoi struggling to make a recording he was satisfied with by himself. Aoi felt that Uruha had been watching him, like he did not trust him to be able to play it well enough. And well, now that seemed to happen.
Uruha stretched his long arms up in the air and yawned.
-I think we should quit for tonight. We can continue tomorrow, right? he said after finishing his yawn.
-You think so...? said Aoi. He was a bit confused. Maybe it was time to quit, he was obviously too tired of this to make any progress anyway, but did Uruha intend to continue to sit here with him the next day as well? Aoi got up and put his guitar aside.
-What time tomorrow? Uruha asked as he reached for his jacket.
-Um, like I don't know...said Aoi, confused about the fact that Uruha indeed seemed to intend to come to the studio the following day as well.
-A, well, not too early, right? said Uruha.
-No, no...answered Aoi.
-Is around 15 ok with you? Uruha asked.
-Eh, ok. Aoi thought it was a bit early, considering his sleeping and waking habits, but then thought it'd be all right if he'd go to bed after he got home. Well if he'd really go to bed and fall asleep that was. And that was not always so easy for Aoi. He collected his things and they both left the studio.
Standing outside beside their cars Aoi lit a cigarette.
-All right then, good night my dear. Sleep tight and don't worry, I think we'll get this one done tomorrow, said Uruha and opened the door of his car.
Aoi nodded and said good night to Uruha who left. "It's easy for him to say not to worry" Aoi thought. He was really worried he wouldn't be able to sleep. And he wondered if Uruha usually called him "dear". If it was so he had definitely not noticed until now. He put out his cigarette, got in the car and left for his apartment.
