Oh my god, just caught up there and that episode was insane. I thought last week was brilliant but this one tops it big time.

Russell sure as hell doesn't do things by half measures. Most vampires going rogue would tread carefully against the the Authority but not Russell. By slaughtering a news anchor and making his threat on air, he's certasinly not holding back.

I did feel bad for him when he realised that Talbot was dead but Eric does need to stop him as soon as he possibly can, before Russell takes the battle to him.

Nan's return here was the best they've ever used. She's one of a few characters who can stand up to Eric and was certainly happy to make him and Pam squirm even after he confessed everything about Russell to her.

I loved Eric and Pam's scenes together. She was trying to get him to open a little more and Eric didn't want to burden her with his own survivor guilt. I wonder will Pam actually make a vampire, regardless of what actually happens to Eric. Plus we need their backstory now. I want to see what inspired Eric into making Pam a vampire.

Jesus and Lafayette, I'm liking them more and I want to feel safe that they're gonna be fine but I have a feeling that Jesus is more than he lets on to be honest. Ruby Jean's comment about Lafayette and masks was interesting as well.

Holly's a rape victim? I didn't see that one coming. She certainly had more to do in this episode than the previous one and I liked her scenes with Tara and Arlene in this one.

I felt bad for Arlene. She genuinely believes that she's got a monster inside her and was horrified at the thought of bringing a baby of Rene's into the world.

Loved Tara's scenes with both Sam and Lafayette in this episode. Nice to see her being happy for her cousin and I also liked that she finally got Franklin out of her system. Loved the character but I'm not sad to see Franklin go. Nice use of wooden bullets there, Jason.

Jason did behave stupidly with Crystal (who I'm rapidly losing patience with) as well as Felton and Calvin but Sam whaling on Calvin like that was a shocker.

Tommy was a dick to Sam and Arlene in this episode but I did like him with Jessica, though I still want her and Hoyt back together. Summer needs to get lost and quick. Her voice grates the hell out of me.

Sookie and Bill, the post sex stuff was fine, body burying atypical but I did enjoy Sookie and Hadley learning that Hunter was the same as his cousin and the fact that meeting Claudine seemingly made Bill aware of what she is.

Three episodes left and damn, this show is getting better and better, 10/10.
