Miscellaneous News and Interviews

I happened to peek in my google alerts last night and what do ya know, TONS of news on True Blood! Check it out:

There is going to be a TRUE BLOOD ad promo airing during the LOST season finale (can't tell if it will be new or not), and during that promo a special "QR" code will be shown that can activate smart phones to show you a new exclusive season 3 clip... which includes this photo:

You can do some tests with your smart phone using this QR page. The phone will need to have a camera on it to scan the code.

According to Zap2It, this code will only appear in three cities:
For the NYC and Philly markets, the code will appear at approximately 11:15 p.m EST. For the Los Angeles market, the code will appear at approximately 10:55 p.m. PT.

I trust some willing, noble, techsaavy Truebie will help us get this onto youtube ASAP on Sunday. ;-)

HBO has announced that if you are trying to get tickets to their "Ultimate Truebie" fan events in 50 cities on June 1, and don't have time to play on Facebook at night, you can also try the standby line (sign up here). ETA: and hot off the presses this morning on Saturday: another way to get 2 tickets is to get yourself to a Best Buy store REAL EARLY on May 25th and buy the season 2 DVD set there.

For those of you in Los Angeles/SoCal with the time and energy, you can go be part of the fandom crowds watching the red carpet arrivals at the True Blood Season 3 Premiere Official Red Carpet. TrueBloodNet reports:

"This year the entire cast of Alan Ball’s hit HBO TV vampire series True Blood will be holding their official red carpet premier at the Arclight Cinerama Dome, 6360 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, California on Tuesday, June 8, 2010. According to the latest information the stars should begin arriving between 5:00pm and 6:30pm, however no official time has been scheduled for the show to begin as of yet. We will inform you of the latest information as it becomes available."

True Blood and Lost fans in Charleston, SC, are getting a very special treat on July 31:

"Michael Emerson of ABC’s Lost and Carrie Preston of HBO’s True Blood are coming to Charleston this summer to perform for one night only at the newly reopened Dock Street Theatre. The two, who are married in real life, will be starring in the two-person play Love Letters, written by A.R. Gurney. The July 31 show is a pre-season fundraiser for Charleston Stage."

There are TONS of True Blood cast interviews bleeding onto the net all over the place nowadays... particular favorites today are TrueBloodNet's radio interviews with Charlaine Harris and Joe Manganiello, and Zap2It's super short but VERY interesting chat with Alan Ball about the start of season 3 and Alcide.

Speaking of our favorite Louisiana supes: did you know that Sam Trammell is now on Twitter? Team Sam! @SamTrammell

If you folks have any other recent links/interviews/etc you enjoyed about season 3, shout 'em out in the comments! <3
