Hello? Hello! It's me, Nino! I'm practicing with the... um... telephone! I think that's what it's called. I finally figured out how to use it! Hiccup was really helpful, even if his name is funny. I see other people talking on it all the time, so I thought I'd try it myself!
I know that this place is bad, and we've been kidnapped... but it's still incredible. Water comes out of the spouts inside the houses! And these little glass balls on the ceiling light up when you move a switch on the wall! It's like magic, but without a book or a staff!
I'm glad I don't have to stay somewhere alone, either! Kallen and Leona are really nice people. We'll be almost like a family! [She hasn't caught onto the fact that they're supposed to be one yet.] Oh! I think somebody else lives here too, but I've never seen him. He must be pretty busy.
Things are still a little confusing. I don't think I understand everything here quite yet, but I'm trying to learn. I really miss everyone back home, but Uncle Legault told me that they don't even notice we're gone, so... that's good, I guess...
