Forgive me if I'm a little stale, sa-chan. It's been so long.

And yes, I totally copped out because I just couldn't think of how to directly start off from where we were. So, I was thinking we could skip the whole killing scene? If that doesn't fly with you, I can always go back and change it. I just ( Read more... )

Aleksei wasn't certain how it had happened. He had gone to find Vicinio, to try to reconcile things with him, but he wouldn't even open his door, simply telling him to go away through the door, that he couldn't take the drama that came along wtih being in a relationship with him. Aleksei had left reluctantly, forcing back tears and blurring his vision as he wandered aimlessly through the night streets. He could practically smell the sun, soon to rise-- but it also made the shadows even darker-- the whole world seemed to get darker just before the dawn.

It had all happened so fast, they had come out of nowhere it seemed, grabbing him and pushing him back against a wall, his head hitting concrete harshly. His mind was still hazy, trying to catch up with the events happening around him, and it allowed for them to over power him, to begin beating him, wanting to send a message to Roksana.

But then she had appeared-- and they had tried to get her, teasing her, taunting her-- they had tried to cut her clothes off-- to do things to her-- Aleksei felt bile rise in his throat at the memory. But then she had-- had gone crazy. He merely remembered the snarl from her throat, unlike anything he had ever heard from any wolf, before the shrieks of the humans as she slaughtered, spilling their blood.

Aleksei had gotten some on him, spurts and speckles of it staining his skin and clothes, but he had run, not sure why or where-- but Roksana... she had scared him in that moment-- he had never seen her act that way-- and only now as he wandered over the rooftops, heading towards their home, could he realize the full extent of what this meant for her-- for them-- for their entire pack...

("the whole world seemed to get darker just before the dawn" - now who's been watching too much batman?)

The lust - god, it was maddening. Even now, long after the act, as she was sitting in the darkened streets of civilization, the wolf inside was still pawing. Was the wolf still inside? Roksana thought she had returned to human form, but even as she looked at the arms and legs of a homo sapien, she felt like a canis lupus. Humans didn't have this kind of hunger festering in their stomachs - in their minds. Could she ever go back to being human?
Why kid herself; she was never human. But she had kept up a convincing pretense. Could she even go back to pretending?
The sun crept above the skyline, sneaking up on Roksana and interrupting her thoughts. It was dawn; her favorite time of day. But she neither had the energy nor want to enjoy it. People were beginning to awaken, and the city moved. Preservation instinct took over as Roks quickly stole a large jacket from a cart to cover her stained body. Her red hair, which shined in the sunlight, was quickly hidden by a hood. She rushed in the now discernable direction of her home, wanting to escape the world before it destroyed her.
