So, last night, I got a ticket. Once again, it is a ticket I feel merits a warning, but whatever. Anyway, I got the ticket for driving without my headlights on. The kicker is though, I remember turning on my lights, and, in fact, seeing them glow out in front of me. So, the question is, did I just make a stupid mistake, or, is there something wrong with my car? Well, with a Friday with only one 50 minute class,I endeavored to find out. And the results are that the van's electrical system is failing. It has been for about a year now, but I jerry rigged it to function, and that seems to have worn off. So, that means 2 things...
I ARE NOT DUMB!!! Well, at least not in this instance. Fate conspired against me to throw a short in the system at just the right moment.
And that's the upside. Further more, this is a fixable problem, and one I am equipped to handle, but, it is going to be slightly expensive. I think, by the end of February, I will have the cash to get the parts I need, but until then I am out of luck. The van is still drivable, but it isn't safe to drive at night and I won't be taking the chance of getting another ticket. So, in some instances, folks may have to suck it up and drive as I won't have the huge vehicle for awhile. I can still use Kat's car at night, but again, that car isn't really for carpooling.
In short, not really my fault in an unintentional error of stupid proportions, but still, bad tidings. Peace!
