I never mentioned DC, so here's an outline of the highlights:
- Flying was awesome, and I actually loved takeoff and landing, unlike most people.
- Kate and I saw Christopher Walken in Regan Airport. He is a scary, scary man.
- Toured the Justice Department, got to stand in front of the controversial exposed-boob statue, and check out the coolness of that building.
- Went to the Natural History Museum, American History Museum, and one of the art museums. The Hope Diamond is just as big as I remember it being, but the dinosaurs seemed smaller than when I went in high school.
- Sat in on the meeting with one of the top torts lawyers in the justice department. Pretty phattie.
- Walked around the Supreme Court building. That place is incredible. Everything is marble. Everything.
- Discovered that the museum of natural history makes a pretty good cheeseburger.
- Walked over to the White House, which I did not see last time I was in DC.
- Went to the Lincoln Memorial, WOrld War II Memorial, and walked along the reflecting pool. That thing is enormous. For some reason I have memories of the Lincoln Memorial from high school but not the reflecting pool, despite the fact the memorial overlooks the pool. *shrugs*
