Everything's set now, so I'll go ahead and say it. I'm going back home soon.
I always knew I would, someday. Actually, I never expected to stay as long as I did--three months! I think that's the longest I've stayed anywhere for a while. But even if I wanted to I couldn't stay. For me Soeldei wasn't a new beginning like it was for many of the people I've met here. I have something I need to do, and friends I need to go back to.
I've made friends here too, valuable friends I'll always remember even a long time in the future--Euphemia, Jaina, Johan, all the people I've met who have already returned home...even Prussia. But I have to go back. I want to go back. So I'm leaving, now that the city isn't threatened anymore.
I've already bought the ticket home, so I leave in two days. I guess this is goodbye, everyone. Thank you for everything. I'll do my best to write back, okay?
