I'm fine. But those things were cannons? Like mana cannons? But that's really dangerous!

Well, yeah. The weapons were long range, right? And if they were machine guns I doubt you would have been missed like that.

But I don't know so much about that mana cannon bit...but who knows? What did they shoot? Big black balls? But yeah, they are really dangerous.

Yeah, they were. But I don't know what they were shooting...I never tried getting a good look.

...Well, what does mana do? Actually, what is it?

Mana is what living things depend on to continue living. Without it, the whole world would start to die. It's used for magic, too. And, well, I've never actually seen a mana cannon for real, but someone I know said that you could destroy the entire world with one. They're that dangerous!

Oh...sounds kind of like that whole chi thing in whatever country. But yeah, that doesn't sound good at all....It would take even more than one nuclear bomb to destroy a whole world.

...This mana. Is it at all related to darkness?

A little bit, but the same goes for light, earth, water, and all the other elements. Why?

Oh, I see. Elements. Well...I was wondering if perhaps there was a common tie between our two worlds, but I guess not!

Yeah. I mean, there are some things in common, right? Maybe not completely, but still.

Anyway, darkness is sort of of the source of all life in my world. ...Actually, it definitely is.

I guess. But maybe it's something more that you have to see to really understand. But, hey, it's the same with your mana. I don't really know what to think of it as...other than an energy source, but energy is sort of amorphous.
