It's been a while since I wrote in this journal. I've been a little busy with trying to manage myself. Living on your own is a lot different when you've never done it before. It's a little lonelier than I thought it would be. Even when I traveled alone before, I still had some monsters with me, and cooking for one person doesn't feel as satisfying

Monsters??

Um, yes. Before I came here, part of what I did was make pacts with monsters to help restore the balance in the world. Some of them look scary, but they're really very nice when they're not hungry! Of course, I had to take care of them afterward and some of them like to eat a lot.

A little bit, I guess, but it's true! And I didn't turn out to be much of a knight.

Not really. Things turned out differently than that.

It wasn't a big thing, but I found out I wasn't meant to be a knight in the end. It wasn't bad or anything--things were just different.

I have grown up with knights. Some are good, and some are... not as suited. But they are all knights for a reason.

That's good. I had my reasons, too, and I'd do it all over again if I had to.
