More bad news.
And it's work related.
As of about 5 min after I clocked out for tonight I was told two things that together bother me. One, I'm not permanent help, not the biggest worry. Secondly, and here's what pisses me off. I was told I work for $6.50, not the $7.25 I was told I would start out at. Needless to say I told my manager I was told by my boss. A acquaintance of many years, a neighbor of my parents, and someone I got along with well enough; he told me and I quote. "You start out at 7.25, after 90 days you get a quarter raise, after six months another quarter, and at a year you gain yet another quarter." $8 an hour and working a 8.5 hour average day is pretty damn good pay. But 6.25 is pure BS.
I kept my cool though. But now I need to talk to other business on my days off here and see if I can't get them to give me a job. Just another shovel full of crap shoved at me like it's caviar. I wonder what I did to piss the big guy off.
