News from the gas Junkie
Well its' been dull lately here. Kinda, I haven't posted in a while and I should so here goes.
I got new heads for the T/A from Racing Head Service a while back. RHS is the forrunner to Comp Cams. Well Comp Cams brought back RHS and now they sell some kickass heads. I bought the Gen III Pro Elite heads with the smaller 210 intake deminisions. (Ideal for stock sized gen II Small Block Chevrolet motors.) and promptly sent them to PeakB00st in Pheonix AZ for further hand porting. They swirl polished the intake side and mirror polished the exhaust side. After this my wallet as of July was about 2/3 skinnier. Either way as of now they are strapped to my car along with comp cams Yellow stripe springs titanum retainers, Roller Rockers, Roller lifters and their XR265 Roller cam (full roller valvetrain = mad HP and good idle vacume) and once again I await tuning with my new FAST XFI engine management Computer. (Goodbye GM OBD2! ) Also installed now is a FAST Wideband AFR Oxygen sensor setup for even better tuning of the engine. Finally A MSD COil on plug ignition was placed on each plug to make the spark to each cylinder powerful enough to support over 3000 HP. (Though I will never reach that kind of power.)
As it sets I'm hoping for 500WHP off the spray, if this holds true the Juice will be staying out of the car untill I can begin prep on the bottom end to support more power.
Also as of a few days I became aware of a new LS series block that GM will be unveiling in the month of march. (Happy birthday to me) the LSX Rumors abound were it was going to be used in the new Camaro, I was doubtful myself as then it would have made the vette the 'slower' car. EIther way this new Small block Chevy has a maximum displacement capability of 510 cubic inches!!!!!!! That's more than the 502 Bigblock chevy has been offering for years and knocks on teh door of the 572, the biggest engine Chevy makes period! Now to make thise EVEN more interesting, this engine has supported (grain of salt time) over 2500HP during testing. I want, bar none, if nothing else I'll leave it alone and put some durable internals on it and make a 500K mile 500HP Daily Drivable block. O.O Woot? Yes, w00t.
Now finally I bought a new cellphone, I got tired of my old Nokia, this thing is about 5 years old. I needed a new one bad. Hello moto! I got a Razar V3, the thing is wonderful, the batt life is rather impressive and it's slim, light, and about the only bad things id I can't shoulder cradle it.
FInally, my somputer is stable. After preliminart tests I was VERY impressed with performance during games. Counter Strike Sourse with just abotu everythign mazed performed flawlessly. UNtill I changed maps, at which point it froze. SO far though, I am happy, I just hope that freeze was a fluke.
