Thunder Trees
Wednesday I have two breaks. One at 11 and another at 1. So I met Jody at 11 to eat lunch and then we go to class together. Well, I was looking for a small adventure before class and was pondering what to do. I really wanted to go climb a tree, but there aren't very many good climbing trees on campus. Jody and I stopped at the Ag. building(now a wednesday ritual haha)so she could go to the bathroom. She came out with an idea...haha. SHe wanted me to get up on her bike's handle bars and ride. I have never done this before so I was a little scared. But I got on anyway and Jody pedda\led me to our class. haha. We got some pretty funny looks, but it beat walking! But then we still had time before class so we found a tree next to the building we had class in and sat up in the branches for a while. Can you believe she has never climbed a tree before????????? I was always up in a tree! So she is no longer a tree-climber virgin. hahaha. We got some pretty funny looks again, but I thoroughly enjoyed myself. After class we went to look for more trees, but couldn't find any that would work. So we went out to the lake and sat on the "benches" that jut out into the lake.
Last night we had an awesome storm brewing!!!!1 hahah. I got really giddy. I was studying in the lobby and didn't really want to while it was awesome outside. Kristen wanted to stay in, so I went back to studying. Well...JP called and wanted to know if I wanted to go somewhere to watch the storm. So he picked me up and we went to the boat docks by the lake. We stayed for a while just catching up on the last 2 weeks.
It has rained for almost 24hours straight! So the campus is kinda flooded. A lot of people are in pissy moods cuz of the rain, but it has made me joyous! I laugh at all the people that are getting wet, including myself. hahah. ahhh...AND for a week or so I can hear the frogs croaking in the stream in the back of our dorm...Next adventure....Frog hunting??? hahaha. That brings back memories.
So I leave tomorrow for El Chorro. My first mission's trip! yippy! I can't wait, it is still surreal. I won't get back until 3am the day classes start back up. Should be interesting. Pray for our group! And y'all have fun over break! Amanda-you are going to Seattle right? Have fun hunny!!! LOVE YOU ALL!
