and the headache strikes again, damn weather!
SO winter is here! Yesterday we were the 2nd coldest place in the WORLD! yup not just Canada but the entire world, only thing colder was Antarctica lol. It wasn't the coldest it's ever been here but it was still freezing. Add a little wind into that and wow, frost bite in mere minutes! Worst part about it is...... migraines, yup I know there are some of you who feel me. Generally I get them as a Chinook is blowing in, however it seems to be changing. Yesterday I woke up with a killer one that lasted till at least noon and today the same thing. I am dreading the end of the week where we go from -28C weather to 0!! Codeine will be my best friend lol!! I'm seriously beginning to consider moving to Regina for the winter! They may get more snow and generally colder (although as my sister has nicely rubbed in, not colder right now) but NO Chinooks, which means no migraines!! It's a tempting thought I do say!!
The cold isn't so bad so far. My car wouldn't start yesterday morning, but I wasn't working so it wasn't a big deal. The ponies all seem to be doing ok. I went to check Andy and put his liner on under his big winter blanket but surprisingly he was ok, wasn't shivering or anything. Good deal!! I am waiting for it to warm up a bit so I can start my externship from my massage course. I did some streches with Andy the other day after I rode and he loved them!
My lesson tonight got cancelled cuz of the cold. I am ok with this! We'll try for next week. I've been going down to the barn and feeding (grain) to people horses so they don't have to drive in from Calgary in this crappy weather (seems to make more sense since I just have to run down a hill, not drive an hour).
I burnt my hand making potatoes last night! stupidest move ever! now my palm on the side of my hand under my thumb is blistering and hurts, lol of course it's right where my shirts rub! Serves me right, It was a moment of stupidness that I definitely won't make again!
