Goodbye Yesterday
I took my last final yesterday. I checked online today for my grades and I walked away with straight A's... yes, six A's. So now what? I'm on break until the beginning of January. My boyfriend is working constantly. Oh, I haven't told about that one did I? Let's recap the past month.
Well, after my last "boyfriend" (aka the psycho), I realized that I needed some time for myself. Just be friends with people and that's it. So I was hanging out with a good friend of mine. We would go to the bar together, watch sports, just hang out. Well, things got crazy with that one because we started fooling around. So I had to take a step back. There were some other people I tried hanging out with but it seemed like they wanted the same thing... so I let go. Well, in the middle of November, I receive a message online from a screen name that I recognized but couldn't remember from where. Well, we started talking and he told me that he wanted to talk to me over a year ago but knew that I was in another state so he didn't try. Ok, I'm still trying to figure out who this person is. Well... as we are talking, he sends me a picture of himself, but I don't recognize him. Hmmm. So I go on talking and we are talking about my web design business. He starts telling me that he needs a website built for his group (Yes, he's a artist). So I told him he should check out my website (which I'll plug here... Well, he started asking me how much I would charge him and I told him it all depends on what he wants. Yada, yada yada... and he goes on to say that if I was his boyfriend, he wouldn't be paying for anything. Hmmm, I let him know that I don't mix business with pleasure, but if he's looking to hire me, visit the website and fill out the questionnaire and he'll get a response in 24 hours.
So we were chatting online for a couple days and all of a sudden, I get an email. He was requesting my services. So I called him up to schedule an appointment with him. He works for a very successful law firm (actually one of the largest, most successful lawfirms) so he normally doesn't leave work until 6pm or later. So I told him that I can make a housecall if he liked and he invited me to come over that same night we were online talking. I turned him down and said that we could arrange something for tomorrow. I turned him down because I had to be prepared. I had to make a presentation that would close the deal. Well, there was no convincing involved. He took it with no problems. He signed the contract that same night and I ended up staying over.
During that night we officially started dating. It's almost been one month now. I have not been so happy. I know I am always saying that I've met that one, but this time I know it's real. We have so much in common, yet we are so different. We both love to sing, play the piano, and love bowling. We are both choir directors, been playing from a young age (only difference, he can read sheet music... I play by ear... I still haven't told him), and we've made bowling into something we do every week. We were suppose to go tonight but he had to go to play at a church. He's going to be crushed to find out that I can't go tomorrow night because I have bible study and two choir rehearsals. Then Thursday, who knows? More than likely won't see him. Here's the thing, we live maybe an hour apart. So whenever I go to see him, I stay with him. Since we both keep our sons on the weekend, we don't spend the weekends together. One weekend, I didn't have my son with me and went over to see him (because he wanted me to) and well, the next morning, we got caught. His son woke up to go to the bathroom the following morning as I was walking out the bathroom and was starring at me like "who in the hell is this"... his daddy lied and said I was the cable guy... WTF? Anyway, things are going good with us. He has his debut concert on Saturday, so I'll be there taking pictures so I can update his website.
Well, Terrell, if you took the time to read this, I hope that finals are going well for you. Hopefully you were able to get the few points needed to obtain your D in stats. You need to do better. It was good talking with you last week. Once you're in GA, you should give me a call, I need to do something, since I haven't heard from my ex letting me know if she's coming to visit me or not.
