Well if it isn't the greatest king of them all.

This list really is growing.

A pity you come now, Odysseus. I leave you at the mercy of Achilles' incessant, bellowing voice--I'm out of town presently.

What is the matter? Is he being uncooperative again?

Oh this shift has released him entirely. He's dedicated a few weak insults to me and my family. Perhaps you should give him some more, as presently he just cycles them over and over and it gets that much more irritating, immature, and pathetic.

Which might be why Venice was so enticing.

You know what happens if I encourage that man to do anything.

Best to just let it be. He has anger for a reason, it's also one of his greatest tools.

Any action I take to deter him from it will only cause him to harass your family more. I don't control him, I am just his friend.

I wasn't seriously asking you to. I can avoid him easily enough. It's a warning I'm giving.

The same. Don't get into trouble, Odysseus.

Oh. That reminds me. Something about your wife you may want to know.

I never.

Save it for another time, dear king. She'll be telling me herself.

Of course not.

I wouldn't be sure of that. Don't get me wrong, Odysseus, your wife is a good woman who's been spending time with my daughter where Clytemnestra won't-- but I assume some position to take a moment to warn you that you can never be entirely sure. I feel I should know.

Good king, rest assured, I can tell when my own wife is being dishonest.

If my suspicions are raised, I will know where to go. Your concern is appreciated, but no man travels at sea for years on end and survives without being able to decipher truth from lies.

It is not as though I am totally faultless either.
