We have quite the change of scenery don't we?  But fortune shines on me, the people are still almost one in the same.  The amount of homeless beggars is quite excessive though.  I must say, Ithaca had never seen this many without food or shelter.  It makes me wonder who really runs this city ( Read more... )

Greece won because of your son. Without him, we would've all been slaughtered.

I promise you, I found no pleasure in recruiting him. He was as much my friend as anyone elses, but it was at the higher king's discretion.

It is easy to accuse me of hypocrisy when one has no kingdom to defend, no people to protect, and can live forever. But I wanted to stay in order to protect my son and family, just like how you wanted to protect yours. We both love our children, but I had no intention of sending a man I considered my brother, my superior even, to his death at the gates of Troy by the hands of the coward Paris.

I do not choose the path your son follows, but Greece needed him. He is forever remembered as a hero now, with all the glory that one man can have. You offer him good faith by being proud of the man he's become.

I expect nothing, actually, for your son's bravery has exceeded any and all expectations I may have had.

Of course, hospitable feelings are best left for those you love.
