If you aren't familiar with the Flat Stanley Project, you can go to http://www.flatstanley.comIn a nutshell, Michael and Matthew will each be coloring/decorating a Flat Stanley and keeping a journal of what they do with FS for a few days. Then, we will ( Read more... )

If FS can get to SoCal by the third weekend of this month, I'll be helping tear down the biggest quilt show in the region. I'm sure I can get a picture or two of FS with some award-winning quilts. If nothing else, it'll be a one-of-a-kind adventure for him. I may even have to get him to help fold the quilts and box them.

How long does the project last?

Second weekend in February (well, okay - second weekend in every month) is a medieval reenactor's event. How does FS feel about knights in shining armor? Combat with real swords? Wenches with ... never mind, I'll keep him close to the highborn ladies (who would never show off their never-minds).

DISNEYLAND!!!!! (or at least the gates outside it. Might even be able to talk a friend into taking a photo of FS on one of the rides.)

You are ABSOLUTELY getting one of the FS guys!

If you can email me your mailing address at trshtwns at hotmail dot com I'll let you know exactly when we get him, when I'm shipping him to you, and what the deadline is for getting him back.

Absolutely AWESOME! I love any/all of the three ideas!

FS can come visit me in Nashville. I don't think it's terribly exciting, but if you can't find anything better, I'm in.

We've taken FS to a few interesting places here in Georgia. The least we could do is Stone Mountain or even the bounce house place that the kids have so much fun in. Although if we do the latter, FS may end up a little flatter and a little more wrinkled that he started. I'm just sayin'.

Now that I think about it, there is also a super motorcross thing coming up that we've talked about taking the LG to. And the circus is in town too. As is the local rodeo. FS could have a blast here!

Oops. Just realized I'm logged in as GS.

Those sound so cool. I miss going to Stone Mountain for the laser show in the evening. I'll see what our dates are and I already have your shipping address (memorized, I do believe). :)

If you'd like to send one to Colorado, my brother can take an FS to a local ski area (Echo Mountain) and take him up an indoor climbing pinnacle. My parents live near a lake open for skating right now too, if he'd like to try skating. Photos would be shared with you via Flickr since I frequently remind him to upload photos (I bought him a Pro account for Christmas).

I am back in Hungary and it would be a lot of fun if you don't have all the volunteers yet.
