I haven't posted a lot of the pictures I've been meaning to Like for instance, how awesome my boyfriend is because for Valentine's day he made me this:
they tweaked rorshach's story a bit, I guess I was only irked when he used a cleaver on the child killer's head.
in the comic, he actually handcuffed the guy to the furnace, doused most of his apartment in gasoline and threw a hack saw at him. he told him that he'd have to cut off his arm to live. then he went outside and waited until the whole place burned down to see if the guy actually would do it. that, was the night when "walter" truly died, and rorshach lived.
it goes on with more stories and he eventually turns his happy-go-lucky psychiatrist into this whole, "what is the point of living" atmosphere, with all these stories of these horrible people rorshach came across and saw that the law never truly punished these people, ultimately letting them go, etc.
yeah, I loved the history references too. they pretty much had nixon all drawn up and referenced a bunch of conspiracies.
the blue penis was necessary, haha. I didn't think they would actually put it in the movie, but they did. all throughout the comic and the movie (i thought they kept that nice and faithful) he slowly starts to lose more and more of his suit, which the US made him wear once they announced, "There is a Superman and he is American," and gave him a costume.
sorry, watchmen was a really good comic and I was just really happy to see it get transferred onto the big screen so successfully because, you know. THEY ALL WEREN'T TRAINED BY NINJAS LIKE BATMAN.
