What do you do when romance comes to your doorstep, rings the bell, and then runs away when you open the door? This sort of situation presented itself to me recently, and I am left very confused, standing in the doorway wondering what to do?
Now, granted, I'm relatively inexperienced in these matters, and being that my heart's been packed away and stashed in the attic for several years now, I'm a bit rusty too. However, for lack of any better ideas, I'm beginning to think that the only thing to do is close the door, pack my heart back up, place it carefully back in the attic, and move on with my life.
It's not that I don't want to go running from the house and into the woods in pursuit of whatever rang the bell... indeed quite the opposite. There is nothing in the world that would make me happier than if said romance just had cold feet, and things in the end blossomed into something more. But I'm very afraid that the truth of the matter is that it simply had the wrong house...
So, if anyone out there has any thoughts, ideas, feelings, and/or advice on this matter, or can in any way enlighten me as to what happened a couple of weeks ago, I would greatly appreciate it. Please drop me a line. Thanks!
