Not the end of the road

So, my interview with the BoD this morning got canceled. I found this out last night while on the road, about 30 minutes from Atlanta, so of course I came down anyway. The story as I understand it is that the two key members of the Board were flying in from Boston this morning and had an appointment back there this afternoon, and that due to several flight cancellations, decided that they weren't going to be able to hit all of their appointments on time. So, instead the Board is meeting via teleconference.

The CEO was very apologetic about me driving down to Atlanta for this, and doesn't want this cancellation to delay the hiring process. So, assuming the Board is okay without a face-to-face with me, we may be moving forward with an offer ASAP. Otherwise, they're going to fly me up to Boston to meet the Board members. I should know something more this afternoon.

Interestingly, the recruiter has me interviewing with another company this afternoon, too. (Director of Software Development for a retail business intelligence software company called Quantisense) I think this is sort of a consolation prize for not getting to wear my suit this morning, but additional options never hurt. It could also create some more pressure for them to bring the Deposco process to a close.
