Internet Kill Switch Again? Tech How?
Congress is trying to give Obama the same power that Chinese and other totalitarian regimes "enjoy". The power to kill the Internet in their country. Obama would supposedly be limited to 120 days in an emergency before having to have Congress rubber-stamp a renewal.
If this passes, how long will it be before some Prez decides disagreeing with him constitutes an emergency, then issues an ultimatum: "STFU or I'll shut off your pr0n and blogs!"
Does anyone know how this would work technically? (Therefore how tech-savvy can bypass this cutoff?)
