New Year's Party
Once again, with our slacker hats we go, venturing on into the new year.
The Faboo wink_ihsan and I have missed our goal in sending up the New Years party announcements ahead of time. We had a theme worked out, but we neglected to tell people with enough warning. Whoops.
With that though, we do hope that you all can make it out and join us for the evening festivities at the Casa de Technomancer y Wink (AKA the Annapolis House).
New Years Around the World
When:
It's a New Years party, if you show up before 2010, you're good... if you show up after 2010 begins you're late. (We'll be there all day, settign things up playing games and getting our party mood on. When the sun goes down the food and drink comes out.
Where:
Annapolis. If you don't have the address, talk to the tknmncr (email), wink_ihsan (email) or troyfish (email)
Theme:
Around the World in 80 Days - This is Mandatory, However with the short notice it doesn't matter (see the note at the end). The idea is that you should think about this a little and come up with something interesting. This allows for the SteamPunk revolutionaries to surface. (Yay) but it also gives us some other thoughts -- Dress in any style that is stereotypical that culture and date. We don't care when or where... (Note: You could also go dressed as an American of the 21st century...ie, what you will be wearing the day of the 31st.)
Can I help?
Sure. We're always looking for folks that want to help clean or provide tasty edibles and libations.
Libations: We're fairly well stocked for a LOT of the loopy causing drinks, but if there is something that you feel you have to (or want to) share, then by all means bring it. But don't be stupid with the drinking. Cleaning up puke off the floors or the roommates is rarely fun... well, cleaning off the roommies can be fun, but that's another story.
Edibles: We were hoping to have a variety of foods available, but we also wanted to play with the idea of around the world, so foods like French Toast, German Chocolate Cake, Sandwiches, Polish Sausage (but not kielbasa), you get the idea.
Crash Space:
This is harder to do this year than in years past. My spare rooms are already spoken for, and Wink and Technomancer have a new roomie as well, so private rooms are not available, but there are plenty of couches, floor space, and hotels near by.
We do hope you can make it.
