The Mighty Kielbasa asked me these questions, so I decided to answer them thusly.
- The dead have risen! Zombies walk the earth. You are the hero of our story what is your weapon of choice? A crickett bat, chainsaw, sword (enchanted or not), tactical nuke, or something else?
Ahhh, the fabled "What would you use to decimate the dead if they were to rise from the ground and begin the party without you... or with us as the main course" question. George Romero has spoken and explained why there would be no "fast-moving zombies" by pointing out that there is no way that after that much time decomposing their bones would be too brittle to take up anything that would be overly jarring. That being said, I think I'd have to go with the sword, perhaps a couple of them with machete's strapped to my legs or back as a back-up. I love the fact that you don't run out of ammo when it comes to the blades. However, if you're willing to make it an enchangted weapon I won't say no. BTW, I would so be wearing shark-grade chain-maille ove rthe bits that I'd be worried about having bitten by a zombie.
- When is the next party at Fishland or when will I see you next?
The Wink and I have been talking about hosting something for all of our single friends to help them meet each other. Perhaps have some cross-over friendships bud. However, I'd also like to do something with all of our friends coupled or not. I miss the parties. Any suggestions? As for when to see next, I'd like to say soon. When do you have available?
- If you could do one thing at Pennsic irregardless of cost, time, or the space-time continum what would you do?
I'd fence EVERYone that ever wanted to fence. Not jsut those authorized, but all of the people that have wanted to try it and I would do my damndest to ensure that they ALL had fun, win or lose.
- How is the house? Any plans for improvements or changes?
I have lots of plans for improvements, Unfortunately, they are the same plans I had since I moved in, which goes to show my ability for follow-through when I am not as motivated as I should be. Immediate concerns are to:
- Fix my storm door
- Replace the lock with a keyless entry method
- Paint the wall behind my TV
- Put up the light in the living room
- Fix the hole in my ceiling
- get the place actually clean
- repaint my bedroom
- replace the tiling/floor in my bathroom
- redo the flower garden/tiny lawn that I have
- and perhaps replace the carpet in my room with hard wood floor like the rest of the place.
- Did I mention that I want to clean up the place, and get rid of a lot of the crap?
- What are your plans for the winter, will be as active in the SCA as before? What other interests might you persue?
Plans for the winter will depend on certain people in my life. I am planning to remain active, but I will take a short break, I"m sure. I always feel the need to take a hiatus in order to recharge. I'll also be doing quite a bit of climbing. There are a number of classes I want to take, I am hoping to take SCUBA diving lessons again. I was certified about 15 years ago, but I haven't gone since then, so I would like a refresher. I also wouldn't mind getting back into some martial arts. There's a Krav Maga school near me, but there's also a Capoeira school I've heard about that I want to check out. I also want to take lessons in Kayaking, but those are not really winter things. I want to learn to ski and snowboard. If only I had people who might be willing to take a noob to the slopes. Any takers?
