First viewing thoughts for "Tooth and Claw":
I didn't know they had kung-fu monks in Victorian Scotland. They must have wandered off the set of Crouching Tiger and gotten lost.
WHAT is Rose wearing? ugh. I didnt know Brits wore denim overall cutoffs too.
OOH! The Doctor likes the Muppet Movie too! I've been chasing this "wee naked child". heh. I think I love the Scottish use of "wee" a wee bit too much.
And we get the first mention of the Torchwood Estate. It's so cute how much fun the Doctor and Rose have poking fun at each other. I suppose she does look a bit feral.
I swear the Glaswegian accent is my fatal weak point. This whole side plot of trying to get Victoria to say she is not amused is a little tiring and unnecessary.
Great. Just what we need. A moody angsty lycanthrope. He'll be getting his own livejournal next. Interesting that he does know about the Bad Wolf from last season.
I love how the Doctor gets so angry whenever he's worried about Rose. At least she isn't just sitting around waiting to get rescued and did something herself. I like a pistol wielding Queen.
Oh dear. stupid oaf must die of course to add the little extra scare. This werewolf is a hella lot better than the one we saw in Harry Potter.
And in the middle of all this, they still find time to GEEK OUT about meeting a werewolf.
Kyaaaa! He's puting on the glasses reverse Clark Kent-style. And the answer is found through books, not through just who has the bigger guns. I love this show.
Ach. Cute Scottish Laird is gonna die the noble heroic death of this episode. Couldn't we have killed off a few zombies and cat nuns last week instead?
Oooook. She knights and dames them, and then banishes them. GODDAMN I think David and Billie have the best chemistry of any Doctor and Companion ever. The way they were gossiping about the royal family is just the sort of thing I do with my friends.
We already had a mention of Torchwood, so we could have done without the anvilicious annointing. We KNOW the show is coming. We don't need to be reminded every five minutes.
