Meme Time

There's been this Hitchcock quote meme around that poses the question, "When I write a story, what do you immediately look for?"

So, hit me. What do you immediately look for in a story of mine?

Apart from Gaeta and Casey, anyway. ;)

Plot.

Frankly, you usually have good characterization but its your plots that intrigue me.

I do like myself some plot, it's true. I mean, why write a story if there's no plot, right? I like the plottiness of your fic, too.

To be fair, I have written just as much fic about Helo as Hot Dog, my memories say. ;) (and shamefully little ensemble fic - although I love ensemble fic, and write lots of it both in original writing and in German fic)

I'm pleased that you like my lines. :)

Really interesting and unexpected crossovers, which work surprisingly well.

Cool. I should write more of those. I strangely have a really random Torchwood/Stargate Atlantis crossover lurking in my head right now, though I don't think I'll get around to writing it.

I would have to agree with Rap. I can always count on interesting plot with you. But also I know to expect insights on character choices that are interesting and unexpected. Your characters often make decisions that surprise me. :)

Plot is good. Plot is important. I wonder why I have no icon with a snarky caption about plot.

I try to discard of character choices that people see coming. I always keep thinking that there must be something more interesting. Which means that my fic contemplations are an endless row of "No... no... nope..." ;)

Awesome pharasing, which considering the second language thing is pretty cool.
