Yay, you updated! I love how you are progressing with this story after the Helo/Gaeta liason. A lot of slash/het fics have a habit of glossing over issues like 'cheating' because it complicates the erotica, but I like that you ARE making an issue out of it. The fic is much deeper, richer and realer for it. I like the way you characterise Helo as a guy who tries to please everyone, but finds that he can't and he is just creating a bigger mess. That seems very true to the show, especially S4 Helo.

If the only thing you ever touched all day was the keypad of your console, it was hard to remember that people cared.

Felix had needed something like this, not sex but maybe some proof that at least for a moment, he could be more important to someone than somebody else. Oh, I loved these lines! So sad. So Gaeta ( ... )

I have a secret fic kink for cheating. It's just so much fun. How can a writer not want to complicate matters? :D But I don't write porn, so it's easy for me to say.

So glad you like the Sharons! I had problems with Athena at first but it's getting easier. And I love Boomer! I'd love to write her but I haven't been able to get her ever since New Caprica. I miss Boomer.

What a wonderful comment. Thanks. :)

Oh heavens, what next? Helo can't possibly spill just before the mission (and yet I kind of fear he will)...

This is great - the whole Felix-Helo moment was full of restrained tenderness and intimacy, and oh, Felix, such loneliness...

And I'm wondering what's up with thee new Eight.

Helo will certainly spill something to somebody at an interesting moment. That guy really needs to figure out his priorities. :)

I'm glad you like it. Thanks!

Dorky smile!? Eights don't have dorky smiles. their smiles are just brightness of their inner self being happy!. (idon''t know where that came from but that how I feel about theses eights). This story is so rocking!

YAY, UPDATE!! I compulsively read this fic this morning before rushing off to work, it was so good.

I absolutely love Felix's POV in this, in a dark way, and it kind of killed me to watch him realize how he's always ending up in the position of being someone's obstacle or dirty secret or both. I am also strangely in love with Helo right now for his complete inability to make everyone happy and thus make no one happy really. (Perhaps it's just because he's finally getting Felix a bit.)

He, Sharon and Felix should just give in to the inevitable and start up a polyamorous threesome together. ;)

I'm really beginning to wonder if Sharon is ever going to be redeemed in my eyes at all in this fic. So far, she annoys me quite a bit, which I feel kind of bad about, actually. Don't get me wrong. I acknowledge that she's worked pretty hard to get where she is now and frankly, I sympathize with her annoyance at the Nondescript Eight, but so far, in this fic, Athena just can't seem to get me on her side on anything.

Oh, and I forgot to mention. You know that ficlet I promised you? Turned out to be not so easy to dash off as I thought it might. But I finished it finally, and just need to edit it tonight. I'll send it to your email when I'm done, so you'll probably wake up to it tomorrow. I'm not so confident about its quality at that moment, but I think I'm going to send it anyway and hope you enjoy it. :)

And then, it's on to Felix/Brendan, I think!

So looking forward to your fic! Just hearing that you were writing one to cheer me up did the job. :) I'm very curious and wondering what it's going to be about. Thanks so much for writing it and for making my day! :)

It's a shame that Athena doesn't work for you. I can see how it would be hard to sympathize since she's being very defensive. Still, she's not supposed to come off like that. I'll have to improve the next time I write her. But I also have hopes to make her work for you in the next chapter. There's a lot of Sharon in the next chapter. Well. Everybody is going to be in the next chapter.

He, Sharon and Felix should just give in to the inevitable and start up a polyamorous threesome together. ;)

I remember I read that story. It sure was a very pretty picture. :D

And then, it's on to Felix/Brendan, I think!

Yaih! Very much looking forward to that.

It's great to hear that you still like the fic. Thanks!

Again, another great chapter. I love your characterization and how you mix dialogue and the internal thoughts of the characters. A really great story. Oh, and thanks for the Hera reference. I appreciate when writers acknowledge her existence even though I completely understand that she has to remain in the background being a child on a battleship.

You made a very good point in your last comment. I'm glad that I had an opportunity to mention her in this chapter, even if it was just a line. I tend to forget about her when I don't need her but I really shouldn't.

Thanks very much :)
