I've only seen about an episode and a half of Chuck, but I enjoyed this! Naturally Casey is one of the characters who stood out to me from what I've seen, so this was interesting even though I have no idea how much you made up and how much is canon. You have a way with words that kept this compelling in spite of how much I was in the dark. :)

Hee! I wrote it! It was lots of fun, too. However vaguely I ended up using the prompt, it ended up being such a great match for a prequel to that long fic I want to write, I just couldn't resist. Now I can hopefully start focusing on my pinch-hit for bsg-remix. ;)

Wow, gorgeous and tragic. Poor John Casey. But I loved how mature and gentle you allowed Chuck to be, even as he is not interested in Casey romantically, he does care a lot for him. Nice backstory and intriguing premise.
