safenthecity is awesome. Post this in your journal and make up one way of celebrating safenthecity's awesomeness.

I declare 3/18 the "safenthecity is awesome" Day. It shall be the day of the year when we all bow to her awesomeness, and then we demand that she write lots of fic.

LOL YAY YOU DID IT :D:

This seriously just made my day. You have no idea. This makes me laugh SO HARD.

And fic may... be forthcoming. Because the only time my muses speak is crunch time, and um. Crunch time has arrived.

Yay! It worked! :D I'm so pleased.

I did not forget your email. I'm just... not as good at answering emails anymore as I was once upon a time. Made me happy, anyway, and I'm going to answer it eventually. :)

Hee. It really made my day, you have no idea.

Oh, I'm glad you mentioned it, because I have two different e-mail addresses for you, and I wasn't sure I sent it to the one you would be likely to check. :) Whenever you get the chance.

:)

I always check both at the same time, so don't worry. Though this reminds me again that I've wanted to switch to a gmail account forever...

What is IMAP?

It's when your emails are saved on a server instead of your harddrive, so you can access it from multiple computers without a lot of fuss.

Wait, what?? There are e-mail accounts you can't access from any computer you come across?

... WHY?

Oh, young people...

Because when I was your age, nobody offered the service for free. ;)

And you can still access the good ol' POP3 accounts from multiple computers, there's just... more fuss.

Dude, that has to be a European thing, because before gmail, I had a Yahoo! account from the time I was 12. Absolutely no charge.

Crazy Europeans. ;)

I have a yahoo account. Yahoo offers POP3 accounts, which is why I want to switch.

I think either I'm explaining this wrong, or you're not getting it the right way, or both. :)

I think the problem is I've never heard of either IMAP or POP3. Because all of my e-mail accounts have always been available anyplace I've been capable of logging in, no matter what computer it was, with no trouble at all.

Maybe I do different things with it than you do.

Maybe? Now I'm just confused.
