In Denmark, an organization for road safety has been trying to make young adults stick to the speed limit by placing hot blond women at auspicious spots to wave and point at speed signs wildly... while dressed in nothing but their panties and shoes. There was also an internet video to promote the "enthusiastic dream team of fearless women who'd do anything to enforce the speed limits"- not available anymore it seems, unfortunately. Needless to say, the traffic on that website was mad, as the free porn attracted visitors from as far as the Vatican (55 of those, the admins reported). The more traditional of Denmark's politicians were not pleased and a social democrat was cited to find the campaign "exceptionally stupid." Well, boo-hoo. I'm all for naked women on the streets, of course. :D
My source is here and you should click on it even although it's German because there's a picture.
It has been found in a survey that an astonishing amount of people really are as stupid as to buy the products in the spam emails. Sadly, this is especially true for young overweight adults and the products advertised in the "lose weight" spam that I am sure we've all seen around aplenty. About 42% of the overweight students in the survey read the spam on weight loss, and 18% said they'd bought something advertised in it afterwards. More sadly even, amongst the non-overweight students, there are still 18% who read the emails and 5% who buy the magic diet.
See, this is just my kind of luck. Not only do I feel attracted to people who hate what they look like, nope, they also go to desperate lengths to change. No fair.
The report is here, in English this time.
I have pics of the bizarre and silly, too. They were sent to me in one of those social spam emails this morning.
