“The Blue Film”
(Concept unabashedly stolen from the Graham Greene short story of the same name. This story is not entirely unrelated to the original, because it’s set in the same ‘verse, and I changed the tense of the sentence because writing in present-tense for a whole fic drives me batty.)

Brendan had won a porn sample tonight at the card games. Video porn, even, which was quite rare nowadays. Ideally, he would have liked to have enjoyed it in private first-he had nothing against sharing; it was just that watching porn took on a different character when you did it with half the Viper wing and a quarter of the bridge crew-but word of his big win had spread quickly, and the only working videotape player was in the rec room.

“What kind is it?” asked Narcho as he and Thumper maneuvered a sofa through the hatch and dropped it near the viewing screen with a resounding thump. They both hopped over the back and landed hard on the worn cushions

Thank you! I know; if I'd been writing it from Felix's perspective, the thought that would've been going through his head: "The Cylons nuke twelve planets, and *this* managed to survive? Yep, just my luck..."

Re sofa: Narcho muses are so demanding, aren't they? Yours wants to sleep with Dee, mine wants comfier seating in the rec room...maybe you've found a way to control yours, but mine pretty much gets whatever he wants. ;)

My Narcho muse has been rather tame yet actually. I made him a CAG. I think it boggled his mind so much that he hasn't come forward with his opinion on anything else yet. I can't decide if he should get laid. He won't tell me, either.

I think it's because she's a Cylon. He isn't sure himself. On one hand, he could get laid. On the other, he'd frak a toaster. Though it's a very pretty toaster. It's a hard call. I'd have him struggle for an appropriate amount of time. But still, he isn't sure.

But maybe you're right and he's just secretly a workaholic. That amuses me more than it should. :D

This is both wonderfully funny and very sweet. I love that it was Narcho that figured out it was Gaeta and not Hot Dog. I really want to know what happens next.
