For something completely different, I just posted a knitting pattern for a skirt that I made on Tumblr. Thought I'd share, because a) it's a very pretty skirt indeed and I'm very proud of my freestyle knitting :p and b) maybe one of you will have use for it, too.
The Tumblr post is

I remember Haymitch saying that he liked playing darts. I can totally see them doing that. Haymitch also helps Finnick perfect his knife throwing, because now that he's teaching games school Finnick would obsessively practice stuff like that. I can totally see them playing chess together. They are both smart and into strategy in different ways. Haymitch, with his gift for out-of-the-box thinking, wins a bit more often, but Finnick gives him a run for his money. Then there are other board games like backgammon, and maybe cards. Finnick has a flawless poker face. :)
I really loved your ficlet about their reading habits, I loved Finnick's present.:) I totally think that Haymitch would be into nonfiction (which is a very typical guy thing to be into), he's very practical and doesn't like fanciful stuff. And I think that Finnick would love sci-fi, if he can find it, as it has absolutely nothing to do with his RL. Anyway, I will continue this later, I need to go. Oh, BTW, I am so glad your speech went well. :)

Finnick would totally learn knife throwing, using Games school as an excuse. :D He'd probably surpass Haymitch in skill very quickly because Haymitch doesn't see the point in improving, but he'd just snort if Finnick acted abashed about it. ;)
Believe it or not, I don't do board games 'cause trigger reactions, so that's gonna be a firm no from me on that front. Heh.
They could play strip poker. I can totally see that happening. Haymitch would have the better poker face, any day. :D
