Pretty Good Week
I have to say that in the grand scheme of things, this week is far better than average. Just a quick rundown:
Monday, one of my coworkers asked if I wanted his old road bike. There's a problem with the crank, but otherwise is fine. It's rideable right now, but it really does need a bit of work. However, he just bought a new one as an upgrade, so he sold it to me for $5 plus lunch. So, for less than $20, I own a bike again.
Wednesday I got to go to a Rangers game with Jonathan for his birthday. We won 12-3. Happy Birthday Jonathan.
Yesterday we got Really Great News about my dad. He's on another experimental drug for his cancer, and every single count has dropped in the last 3 weeks. He has no side effects from this medication. He was so excited that, instead of his customary text message or email, he called people to tell them the good news. It was great to hear.
Also I finally saw Batman last night and spent the whole night in full adrenaline, crime fighting mode inside my head. Plus my legs cramped and woke me up. Probably not from dreamstate fighting, but from bike riding and running right after work.
If I didn't have to wake up at 4:45 tomorrow morning to go run, I would be in full party mode tonight. :)
