1. From eighth grade to eleventh grade, I spelled my first name "Leighja" instead of "Leah" because a girl I worshipped told me I should.

2. Said cool chick is also why I became a vegetarian. I did not touch any meat or fish for 13 years.

3. I hate coconut. Coconut milk is fine (love me some Thai curry!), but the shredded coconut makes me gag.

4. I once fostered 15 kittens and one cat in 16 months. I kept two of them.

5. My first major celebrity crush was Peter Tork from the Monkees. My first concert, not coincidentally, was the Monkees 25th anniversary tour. Man was old enough to be my father...

6. I love the smell of Sharpies and gasoline. Not enough to huff, but I do like to sniff the air at a gas station...

7. I do not drink alcohol.

8. I lived in Denmark for about nine months and speak Danish rather poorly.

9. I am very freaked out about parking next to sewers. I don't like to step over them. They scare me.
