Wasted Weekend
Friday night Don't Tell Mama had our best gig to date. MusicalAsh came out and brought a bunch of buddies from Dance With Me. I had a good time. The crowd loved us. The band sounded good. So nice night.
Saturday I gave whole-blood that morning, went home, talked with LawyerJohnny, and then took a nap. I felt drained. Perhaps because I was drained. And that night I went out with SweetMelissa for her 30th birthday. It was fun. She had 8 friends show and I was the only guy for most of the night. There are pictures around somewhere. I'll post them when I figure out where they are.
Sunday I did the normal church thing, then followed it with the LLJB thing... which is important this week because this coming Saturday is The Sacred Jazz Fest at Lovers Lane. Tickets are available online. It'll be 10 hours of music with bands in from everywhere. I hope a few of you can make it.
And then that night I watched the Mavs lose. I'm concerned. Don Nelson knows this team really well. I mean, we should win the series, but I was hoping for Mavs in 5. Now I'm concerned that it may take all 7. But we'll see.
And I'm also surprised that the Stars are still playing tonight. Go Stars! I might get a shot at buying round two or three tickets after all.
