Keep my legs under me

So last night I went back to the country dance class for the first time in months. I didn't remember as much as I thought I had, but at least I wasn't ranking totally as a beginner. The biggest problem was that my legs would NOT relax the way that they normally would. The weightlifting on Sunday was really effecting my mobility and flexibility last night. The waltz and the "balances" were both really difficult for me.

Plus there was a real dearth of guys there, so I wasn't able to take a dance off all night. Normally that'd be cool, having girls actually fighting over me. Last night I really wished that there was some more "competition".

The advantage is that today I'm not all that sore from the Sunday workout. The light-cardio did exactly what it should and so the pain was blown-out. Now today I've just got tired legs. Which is probably ideal for me hitting the gym tonight again, before I join the Mensans for trivia.

Tomorrow I trek back out to Granberry for another day of recording. Here's hoping that the band survives the stress of AwesomeRyan and me locking horns over my day tomorrow, since it's going to be the day where I fix all of my bass and vocal tracks. I'm praying for patience and reason, since I know that it's easy for me to lose it when I get criticized by him. The competition between the two of us is good for the music, but it seldom is a happy experience for me.

Anyway though, it does result in better albums, assuming I can get him to relax his opinions on my voice. It's always amazing to me to hear him extol his own vocal aptitude, and berate mine, when I know that our voices blend so well because they're so similar. But in order to be a good guitar player, you have to be a cocky and arrogant SOB. I know that, and it's why I put up with the attitude. It's just going to be a less-than-pleasant day for me tomorrow, or that's what I'm expecting. I hope I'm wrong...
