Ancestress: Chapter Twenty-nine: Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained

I'd like to thank frodosweetstuff for making this beautiful photomanip from a painting by William-Adolphe Bouguereau. It's how I envision Mirimë when she meets Tûk for the first time. (I have not forgotten the fic I owe you. It's in the works!)

Mirimë recalls becoming Adamanta for the very first time...

Wonderful! It was great to see and feel new sensations as Mirimë experience them. And I loved Tûk’s greeting. *giggles*

Frodosweetstuff's manip is gorgeous.

I thought her first experience in a mortal body would be nearly overwhelming! And as for Tûk, well, I'm sure he was surprised to see her!

Isn't it lovely! I owe her a fic!

Yes, well, she told herself it was "just to talk", but clearly it was more than that, LOL! And yes, being in a mortal body for the first time had to be amazing.

Didn't Frodosweetstuff do a great job? I'm working on a ficlet for her...

What a gorgeous picture! And a wonderful scene. I just love how she experiences everything differently as a hobbit.

Thank you! And I do love the job that Frodosweetstuff did with it!

Before, she was a Maia, with no body, or briefly an Elf-maiden with an immortal body. This is her first time in a mortal body!

Oh, my goodness! frodosweetstuff's photomanip is absolutely perfect for Adamanta!

I have enjoyed the continuing saga of the Faerie Wife,* and this latest installment is lovely, esp. "She closed her eyes against the brightness of Anor’s light, turning her face to her sister’s warmth, feeling the heat and the cooling sensation of the breeze mingle against her skin." Wonderful!

Oh, I'm so glad you like that manip! That particular artist seemed to do what I consider very hobbity paintings! And then frodosweetstuff plumped her up and added the foot-fur and the pointed ear-- just perfect!

Thank you for pointing out that bit of prose. I wanted to convey just how amazing it would feel to her to suddenly be in a mortal body for the first time.
