Oyer asked me to go with him to Wal Mart to buy cereal, so I did. While we were there he said "I'll mow your lawn, just gimme two Mr. Pibb". This is one of those rare occasions where the context does not matter in the slightest, that is just a funny sentence.
The problem with Wal Mart is that they're all designed exactly the same, or at least very very similarly. That's only a problem because a night I had in a Wal Mart had a profound impact on me, I remember most of it pretty distinctly, I don't see myself forgetting any of it and I don't think I should really explain it here. Pretty much, all Wal Marts remind me of a particular night (Coincidentally, it was a night that I was supposed to do shrooms with Trix, Billy, Neal Kalinsky and Josh Backman.) way too distinctly and I can never focus on the fact that I'm in the most complete mart chain that ever existed, and anything I could ever want is within my reach.
The things you want to talk about are always the things that you really shouldn't.
Tomorrow we go back to playing a show every day for the last 5 days of tour. Then we get home, relax a day and play the big ass Backdoor show that I can't fucking wait for.
"and two, it makes my dookie twinkle!"
the new episode of Chappelle's Show that I'm watching is off the fucking hook.
Now it looks like we might not have our t-shirts in small or maybe even medium for the backdoor show which sucks because a lot of people are telling us they want one, but eh. Such is life. There's a chance we still may though. Still really excited to play though, especially because Watch It Die and 3MNB are playing.
I've had what feels like 1000 (but is actually more like 2 or 3) chances to see Clerks II on this tour but I've been waiting till I get home to see it with Sarah. This is the first time I've ever actually not seen a movie because someone asked me to wait. Then again I'm not sure if that's a fair thing to say because I can't recall a single specific instance where someone asked me, but I feel like in the past I haven't.
Chuck Klosterman is a brilliant man, haha.
Today I went swimming and the pool had one of those noodles out for anyone's leisure. I love fucking pool noodles. I had a great time. but it must be noted that Matt asked me if Scott Skiles was black. Sure, later we cleared it up when he told me he meant to say Byron Scott, but the very sound of the question "Wait, was Scott Skiles black?" damn near shattered my heart.
The cover of the new People magazine with Lance Bass just like "hey!" with the big headline "I'M GAY" is the funniest thing I've seen on newsstands in recent memory. AND I worked in a Stop and Shop.
I watched the Aristocrats again the other night. The first time I rented it I was with Natoli, Tschudy, Reyes, Hitchings and more, a perfect group of "we laugh at EVERYTHING". We were terribly excited upon finding it because he heard how hilarious it was from everyone everywhere. It was painfully boring, we laughed twice, Bob Saget wasn't actually funny, I fell asleep. Reynolds and Mouse told me how much they liked it a couple weeks before I left for tour and when it was on a few nights ago I thought I'd give it another shot.
It's still painfully boring. Even the credits never end.
I'm really tired.
We found out Karmella's Game is playing the Baltimore show with us, that's pretty damn cool. I'm really looking forward to these last 5 shows. Maybe in part because the last show sucked so much. and like everyone else, I can't wait to see everyone when I get home. The next week is lookin' pretty fucking cool.
I want to see the rest of the Chappelle's Show episodes.
Okay, now I'm really talking about nothing.
I've lost 3 sets of strings in that fucking truck, and it's boggling my mind.
Goodnight. Tomorrow we ship off to Durham, North Carolina, where we're not only playing in what's apparently a really cool record shop with a good band, but I think we might be hanging out with Fingaz at the show. Crazy how that works out.
and a possible appearance by Rob Mains at the Philadelphia show? Who knows?
It's 1:30 in the morning. I want to get up for Continential Breakfast.
I'm finding this whole experience fun again, maybe just because it's easier to now that the end is so near. But still, I've been in a really good mood. We ate at Applebee's tonight and I had a Quesadilla Burger. It's not the greatest thing in the entire world like it sounds, but I liked it. Especially once I loaded it with salsa. Applebee's is the shit.
Maybe I just keep going because I feel like there's something I meant to say that I'm leaving out. I can however say that Linda Campenelli's Comedy Central Uncensored Special thing is on, and I find her entertaining but hate the way the special's edited.
Okaay, I'm really done. 'night.
