Hey, we're in Gulfport, MS. Last night was one of the best shows of tour. Believe it or not, it was more or less a hardcore show. Some were worried, but we did just fine. Actually I think we sold more albums last night than we have at any other show up to this point. It was pretty nuts.
We met and hung out with two bands from the show and they were both the most awesome dudes ever. In Fear Of The Fall and Behind the Silhouette. Behind the Silhouette is fucking nuts, they stayed at this girl's house Lynn with them. They left on a month and a half long tour without even booking most of it. They're booking as they go along. and it's actually working out pretty well for them. I think we're gonna try and help them out in NY.
We all went to IHOP last night, and it was one of the more fun nights of tour, easy.
Now we have 3 days of turmoil where we have no idea what's going on and we have no set-in-stone shows. I've been working my ass off every time I'm near a computer trying to fill in the gaps, christian has too, and we're finding nothing. and it sucks. hopefully something turns up. we've been makiing a lot of money but the next 3 days will completely fuck us up if we don't find anything. But after these 3 days we're good for the rest of tour until we come home.
Home. home is gonna be awesome. can't wait. haha.
May I direct you all to Matt Reyes' journal where you'll find the greatest entry of the past decade. But maybe I only think so because I'm living it. haha.
So today we have to figure out where we're even going. that kinda sucks. I hope the next few days work out. Next weekends shows are gonna be the SHIT though.
y'know, I don't have much to say at all.
i think me, tschudy, natoli, trix, jamie and hammy are getting a hotel for warped a couple days after I get back. that's going to be the fucking shit. and hitchings and nina should come to.
and I'd name everyone else who should come but I believe they already said 'no'.
at the end of the show last night a weird old guy with an out of tune guitar set up played a couple songs to the scattered few people left in the building. and despite the fact he sang terribly and his guitar was out of tune in an unbelievable way, he played a song called "Sherry" that I honestly believed was amazing. and everyone looked at me like I was crazy when I told them that.
He ended up eating in the same IHOP as us. On the way out he told us to "rock on".
So I guess we have to.
