I hate bar shows. So tonight I teetered on the fence between my love for playing at all, and my hatred of bar shows. Our band is completely terrible at handling shitty sound situations on stage. Something we need to work on.
We did have Thai food before the show with Anya's dad. It was cool to finally meet the guy after all he's done for our band. and yeah, he's an awesome guy, and I'm pretty glad he's been handling the situation the way he has been.
The car ride to Denton today was maybe my favorite so far. Maybe. I laughed a lot. Though this morning me and Anya had the worst continential breakfast yet. Brown orange juice and shit. No good.
So I miss home. a lot.
I spoke to my dad today and I realized it was actually the first time since I left. He told me to buy him shirts with alligators on them if I saw any. I didn't question it, I just said totally.
I had one of the best fast food burgers ever at a place called Whataburger.
Tomorrow we go to Austin and play two shows in one night. I hope they're good shows, because it's going to be a bitch of a night.
I think our weekend actually lands in New Orleans. That could be pretty cool. That might be the place I'm most excited to see.
I think it's so crazy that I'm in Texas right now. It's pretty fucking cool that I get to go to all these places and my only responsibility really is to play music.
Though sometimes I wish attitudes were a little different. The whole thing about not playing in Russelville is still bothering me. Not sure why.
Hamilla texted me saying Mouse shaved his moustache. Can I get a confirmation of this? If it's true he must be the most philippino looking motherfucker who ever walked the Earth.
Speaking of Hammy, that's not the only thing I've heard about happening back home, hmm?
Mike called me to tell me the Gallon Challenge has been postponed to a date in August, which means I'll be able to compete, and nothing makes me happier. Training begins as soon as I get home. haha.
Billy texted me to tell me the new Juggernaut video's up. I'll probably watch that now.
So I guess that's all.
But I need to tell you guys, I came so ridiculously close to buying Geri Halliwell's autobiography today and I couldn't even tell you why. I just felt like I really needed to read it.
