Okay, Milwaukee sucked.
We got to the house to find out a really big house show about 5 minutes away meant no one was coming. So with like 10-12 people there another band actually did set up and play, while my band didn't want to. In part because of the shitty situation, and in part because of how fucked up we were.
We played a disasterous acoustic set that somehow sold 5 albums.
Me and Oyer helped one of the dudes who let us crash push his broken down van up a street into a parking spot at about 2:30 in the morning.
But we had gas money, and hung out with cool people and ate well. So we went on to Washburn, Wisconsin, where I am right now typing this.
The show last night was unbelievable. We walked into this show to find a ton of kids there for a Tuesday night. Before we went on we noticed our shit was already selling. We played to a pretty full room, and half of the kids knew the words. I'm talking like, during the break in Lucky Girl the crowd was louder than Christian. I couldn't believe it. Sweatiest show yet, no question. haha.
me and Oyer was just like giddy little girls. We were like hugging in the parking lot and shit. The kids over here are so much fun. and we made so much money for gas. it's so awesome to see kids wearing your band's t-shirt for the first time.
So we played this show with The Side Project (who ruled by the way), and in the Side Project are our friends Ben and Kjell, who not only were the original dudes who paid for our album, but are the coolest motherfuckers alive. We came back to Ben's, ate his mom's ghoulash (haha), and then went to a big bonfire at Kjell's a couple hours where I had intense amounts of fun, drank for free, and hung out with people who's company I enjoyed very much. and yeah, we meet a lot of cool people, but it's usually not like I'd really want to hang out with them a lot, y'know? but last night was fucking great. We crashed terribly comfortably at Ben's mom's crib, and we're going with them to Minneapolis today, the location of both Ben and Kjell's apartment and our show.
I dunno. Maybe I'm just really giddy about the whole thing. Everyone's imitation of me has become a slurred "this is the best night ever!".
Yeah, I guess that's me.
I think we're going to play baseball. Wisconsin is the shit.
Miss you guys.
