The luck has worn off.
It had to happen eventually. Last night, my computer had an unfortunate run-in with the floor, and now the screen is broken. Thankfully, the computer still appears to operate without trouble, so I haven't lost anything important and it's just the screen that needs fixing. This, however, cannot happen until I return to the US because Mac things in Europe are beyond expensive. Therefore, no more blogging from home and no more videochats. I guess you will all have to wait (yes, I know it's hard, but you can do it!) to hear about my weekend in Paris.
I am taking this as a sign from the universe that I should not spend my last few days here in Switzerland writing about my adventures, but having them instead. I will still be checking email at work and maybe occasionally at home with Barras' computer, but I apologize in advance if something you say to me gets overlooked. I promise to be much better about communication when I get back to my computer, the US, and sobriety.
