How cute is my workplace? Even though Valentine's Day fell on a Saturday, they refused to skip the celebration. On Friday, they put up decorations in the cafeteria, made special Valentine's Day desserts, and handed out free chocolate hearts. Much to my chagrin, I took for granted that the free chocolate would be somewhat mediocre, and I only snagged one. When I was eating it in my office later that afternoon, I was really sorry for my low expectations. How could I have been so stupid? I'm in SWITZERLAND for Chrissake. They don't even make mediocre chocolate. Jess has captured my feelings precisely:
Sam, on the other hand, couldn't give a rat's ass.
I don't care what you think of Valentine's Day...no one could argue with loving this special Valentine's Day edition of lunch dessert:
