Bleah, can't wait 'til next Friday!!
So crazy busy at work with year end I can barely see straight. Wish it was over, but one more week. New girl is catching on and fortunately when the reality of the job set in she didn’t go running out the door screaming. I must be crazy to have stayed this long. New girl promised to stay until I leave, but no guarantees after that. Fingers crossed she stays. Work is also negotiating to keep me on as a consultant once a week. I must be double crazy to even consider it, but my damn conscious just feels sorry for them. I offered 6 to 8 weeks maximum with no more than 1 day a week, I guess I’m hoping that won’t drive me insane…hoping.
Nick had his Brown Sash test in his Poekoelan martial arts last weekend. It was really cool. It was a 24 hour test with 12 hours of meditation. Long, but pretty cool to see and really awesome to see how much he’s improved in the last year. He also came to big realizations during his 12 hour meditation. The biggest being he is ready to start having kids as soon as I say the word. Scary, I’m not ready yet. I’m ready, but not ready just yet. Need to get out of this job and get my art career off the ground first. Hopefully I’ll be in a gallery before the year is out and then we can talk more about kids. We should also probably get the wedding over with first too.
Wedding plans are crazy, but I think going good, although been so busy at work really haven’t had much time to think, so not really sure. Hoping to get the invitations finished this weekend. Then start on lots and lots of sewing. Wedding dress fabric arrived. It’s awesome, way cool aqua blue, very excited, but the task of making the dress is starting to sink in. I’m getting a little worried I won’t have enough time. Anyone interested in working on a sewing project? I won’t turn down help J. Couldn’t find trim I liked, so I’m also making the trim for Nick’s tunic and my dress. Started on it, looking really cool, but not sure how long it’s gonna take. Fingers crossed. I’m just gonna keep sewing and hope for the best. I have my schedule worked out after I’m not at work and it includes a couple hours of sewing every night. Should be enough, or at least that’s what I keep telling myself.
Reading everyone’s posts is making me really miss everyone, can’t wait until next Friday, my last day at work (well, my last official day). Then I’m hoping to make more project nights and fighter practices. Also, ready Elfgyfu’s posts are making me really antsy to get back in shape to start rock climbing again. Got that in the schedule too. Fingers crossed.
