So as you all know, I am not a big fan of transitional times in my life. I am coming upon a pretty big change in my life, especially if I get the special ed position in Newark (keep your fingers crossed!). Not only will I be going from being a grad student to the career world but my roles will be flipped around. For the past 6 years I have in a sense worked for professors, now I will be the teacher which is honestly a very scary thought. NOt that I don't have confidence in myself but I will be responsible for all these students' educations...that's huge. Not only will I need to help them develop academically but also socially and physically. Teaching is the one profession where your responsibilties are endless. Teachers are also parents, psychologists and friends to their students. In special education, the list gets bigger. So I guess I am freaking out a little. Being a student is so much easier. Most people don't realize this who have never taught, but it is.
The plus side, I will finally have some money!!! I can get my dent on my bumper fixed, get internet and some much needed clothes! Sooooo...it's time to go into the "real world"...ready or not.
